Sheffield rInsulin CC, is animal origin free (AOF) in the first degree, otherwsie known as Primary AOF, as it's components are not directly derived from eukaryotic animals. This product should be of interest to those industrial biopharma producers who do not require, or are uninterested to pay a premium for, Tertiary AOF (a.k.a. AOF in the 3rd degree) rInsulin.
Sheffield rInsulin CC is recommended for use as a cell culture supplement. Recommended dosage is approximately 2–20 mg/L in media, but should be optimized on a process basis.
