Sheff-Doma ACF
Sheff-DOMA ACF is an animal-component-free complex medium supplement containing both nutritional components and protein expression enhancing components. It is suitable for use in classical and chemically defined media. The appropriate dosage is medium dependent, but generally can be utilized at 1- to 3-g/l in batch culture.
In fed-batch culture, maximum cell densities in one particular chemically defined medium were doubled over the un-supplemented control. Total protein production was increased by more than 50%.
Higher dosages (9- to 12-g/l final concentration) may be effective when applied as a feeding supplement.
