Ultra-Filtered Yeast Extracts
Sheffield Bio-Science’s ultra-filtered yeast extracts are animal-component free, medium supplements produced from primary grown yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae). Yeast extract provides essential peptides, amino acid, carbohydrates and vitamins to cells and are a natural occurring source of vitamin B. They have been designed for use as a cell culture medium and feed supplement for use in a variety of cell types. Sheffield Bio-Science’s ultra-filtered yeast extracts have a very low endotoxin specification by industry standard and have superior performance for cell culture against the competitor’s product in terms of cell viability and recombinant protein expression (SEAP).
HyPep™ YE is best applied when used in combination with our plant hydrolysates as an ideal replacement for fetal bovine serum.
UltraPep™ YE is best applied when replacing an existing yeast product in a “stand-alone” application.
